【摘要】:Thispracticeisusefulfortestingmaterialsingeneral,includingcompositesandlayeredtypes.Thepracticeisespeciallyusefulformaterialswhichundergosignificantreactionsorlocaldimensionalchanges,orboth,duringexposuretoelevatedtemperaturesandthusaredifficulttoevaluateusingexistingstandardtestmethodssuchasTestMethodC1113.Performingthetestovermultipleheating/coolingcyclesallowsanassessmentoftheinfluenceofreactions,phasechanges,andmasstransferofreactionsgases(forexample,steam)onthethermalperformance.Note38212;Thismethodhasbeenfoundtobeespeciallyapplicabletotestingfireresistivematerials.1.1Thispracticedescribesatechniqueforthedeterminationoftheapparentthermalconductivity,x03BB;a,ofmaterials.Itisforsolidmaterialswithapparentthermalconductivitiesintheapproximaterange0.02x003C;x03BB;ax003C;2W/(mx00B7;K)overtheapproximatetemperaturerangebetween300Kand1100K.Note18212;Whilethepracticeshouldalsobeapplicabletodeterminingthethermalconductivityofnon-reactivematerials,ithasbeenfoundspecificallyusefulintestingfireresistivematerialsthatarebothreactiveandundergosignificantdimensionalchangesduringahightemperatureexposure.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
