【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiessafetyrequirementsforchairswithsupportsurfacesthepositionofwhichcanbeadjustedelectricallybytheseatedpersonand/oranattendant,includingrecliningchairsandriserchairs.Itisapplicabletochairsforusebyapersonweighingupto100kg.Thestandardisnotapplicabletomultipleseatingunits.Inthetextofthisstandardtheterm“chairs”isusedtorefertochairswithelectricallyoperatedsupportsurfaces.ThisBritishStandardisapplicabletochairsthatareintendedbythemanufacturertobeusedasmedicaldevicesasdefinedbyECDirective93/42(theMedicalDevicesDirective)[1].Thestandardisnotapplicabletochairsthatareintendedforuseduringtheadministrationoftreatmentbyamedicalpractitioner,forexampledentists’chairs.NOTEChairswithelectricallyoperatedsupportsurfacesthatarenotintendedbythemanufacturertobeusedasmedicaldevicesarespecifiedinBS8474.
