【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscovertransportableandspecialpurposeportableelectrictoolsratednotmorethan600V(atnotmorethan250Vifthetoolemploysauniversalmotor),foruseinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.2Inadditiontheserequirementscoveraccessoriesandattachmentsforusewithtransportableandspecialpurposeportableelectrictools.SpecificrequirementsareoutlinedinSections62–66.1.3Theserequirementsdonotcoverfixedorstationaryelectrictools,flexible-shafttools,gardeningappliances,garageequipment,solderingironsorguns,paintingequipment,floor-finishingmachines,orotherequipmentcoveredbyindividualrequirements.1.4Theserequirementscoverdouble-insulatedtransportableandspecialpurposeportableelectrictools.SpecificrequirementsaregiveninSections57–61.1.5Forthepurposeoftheserequirements,toolsareclassifiedintotwogroups:a)Ageneral-usetoolisconsideredtobeatool(usuallyemployingauniversalmotor)thatordinarilyissubjecttoawidefluctuationofload;b)Aspecial-usetoolisconsideredtobeatoolintendedforaparticularoperationnotinvolvingawidevariationofload.1.6Theserequirementscoveranaccessoryandanattachment:a)Recommendedbythemanufacturer;b)Referredtointheinstructionmanualforatool;orc)Packedwithatool.1.7Theserequirementsdonotcoveraccessoriesorattachmentsthat:a)Arenotprovidedwiththetool;andb)Arenotidentifiedbycatalognumberorequivalentproductdesignationintheinstructionmanualforthetool.Theserequirementsdonotcoveraccessoriesorattachmentsmentionedinminicatalogsorflyersevenifthecatalogorflyerisprovidedwiththetool.
