【摘要】:TheproceduredescribedinthistestmethodisintendedtodeterminetheeffectsoffreezingandthawingonSRWandrelatedunitsinthepresenceofwaterorsalinesolution.Theprocedureisnotintendedtoprovideaquantitativemeasuretodetermineanexpectedlengthofserviceforaspecifictypeofconcreteunit.Note28212;ThetestinglaboratoryperformingthistestmethodshouldbeevaluatedinaccordancewithPracticeC1093.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheresistancetofreezingandthawingofdry-castsegmentalretainingwall(SRW)units(seeSpecificationC1372)andrelatedconcreteunits.Unitsaretestedinatestsolutionthatiseitherwateror3%salinesolutiondependingontheintendeduseoftheunitsinactualservice.Note18212;Relatedconcreteunitsincludeunitssuchashollowandsolidconcretemasonryunits,concretebrick,andconcreteroofpavers.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
