【摘要】:WARNING—PersonsusingthispartofISO16589shouldbefamiliarwithnormallaboratorypractice.WhilstthispartofISO16589doesnotpurporttoaddressallthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsapplication,attentionisdrawntotheneedtoemploysensibleprecautionswhilehandlinghotandcoldfluidsandequipment.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthispartofISO16589toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtoensurecompliancewithanynationalregulatoryconditions.ISO16589specifiessealsutilizingsealingelementsmanufacturedfromsuitablyformulatedcompoundsbasedonthermoplasticmaterials,suchaspolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE).Theyareconsideredsuitableforuseunderlowpressureconditions.ThispartofISO16589specifiesgeneralperformancetestswhichcanbeusedforsealqualificationpurposes.Materialsqualitycontrol,dynamictesting,andsupplementarylowtemperaturetestingrequirementsarecovered.NOTEISO16589iscomplementarytoISO6194,whichcoverssealsincorporatingelastomericsealingelements.
