【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestestmethodsandminimumrequirementsforprotectiveglovestobewornduringfirefightingandassociatedactivitieswherethereisariskofheatand/orflame.ThepurposeofthisInternationalStandardistoprovideminimumperformancerequirementsforprotectiveglovesdesignedtoprotectagainstinjuryinfirefightingoperations.ThisInternationalStandardcoversthegeneralglovedesign,theminimumperformancelevelsofthematerialsusedandthemethodsoftestfordeterminingtheseperformancelevels.Withtheexceptionofflameresistanceandergonomicrequirements,thisInternationalStandardestablishesthreelevelsofperformanceforallotherperformancerequirements.Type3glovesprovideahigherlevelofthermalinsulationandphysicalprotection,andrequireliquidpenetrationresistance(includingsyntheticblood)ascomparedtoType2gloves.Type1glovesareintendedtoprovideminimumrequirementsforglovesinanyfirefightingapplication,suchasforwildlandfirefighting.AnnexEprovidesacomparisonoftheperformancerequirementsforallthreeglovetypes.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotcoverspecialglovesforuseinotherhighrisksituationssuchasspecializedfirefighting.Itdoesnotcoverprotectionforthehead,torso,arms,legsandfeetorprotectionofthehandsagainstotherhazards,e.g.chemical,biological,radiationandelectricalhazards,exceptforlimited,accidentalexposuretofiregroundchemicalsandcontaminatedbloodorbodyfluids(Type3gloves).Theseaspectsmaybedealtwithinotherstandards.Selectionoftheappropriatesystemofclothing,includinggloves,isdependantoncarryingoutaneffectiveriskassessmentwhichidentifiesthehazardstobefaced,evaluatesthelikelihoodofthosehazardsandprovidesthemeansofreducingoreliminatingthesehazards.GuidelinesforconductingariskassessmentandsomefactorsforconsiderationareincludedinannexD.
